Gilchrist Elementary School
The project consisted of a brand new eight classroom wing for the third grade. The 13,000 square foot addition included eight class rooms, four planning rooms, ten restrooms and five utility rooms. The purpose of the classroom addition was to eliminate the portable classrooms that were currently being used for learning facilities on campus and provide the students with a better learning environment. The project also included site work updates replacing the existing ball fields with six new ball fields, adding a new parking lot, and re-designing the parent pick-up and drop-off area for smoother, faster traffic flow. In addition, the existing chiller and boiler were replaced to service a few of the existing building and the new addition.
